Unlisted Unit Registry 2023 Update

15 Aug 2023

As we approach the second half of 2023 and continue to develop market-leading initiatives for our clients and their investors; we are pleased to provide an update on BoardRoom’s continued growth within the unlisted registry market.

BoardRoom Recent Growth

During the first half of 2023, BoardRoom successfully transitioned 6 Fund Managers, totalling 34 funds with Funds Under Management exceeding $8.5b. Key success principles when migrating clients to our platform are our robust project management procedures coupled with end-to-end support to our clients throughout the transition process.

In addition to newly transitioned clients, during the first half of 2023 our existing clients have launched 25+ new funds to the Australian market.

We are also excited to announce that we have commenced several major client transitions that are scheduled to be completed during Q3 and Q4 of 2023. We will be partnering with some of Australia’s leading Fund Managers, continuing our position as the partner of choice within the Australian Unit Registry market.

Leading-Edge Online Application

BoardRoom’s innovative and market-leading online application solution continues to attract the attention of Fund Managers seeking to shift registry providers. Our intuitive onboarding journey is streamlined for investor entities, integrated with AML KYC verification, and provides real-time reporting.

The online application process is tailored to meet our clients’ branding guidelines and integrated with BoardRoom’s registry platform, minimising the manual intervention Fund Managers typically experience with alternative solutions and paper applications.

Recent Statistics

Prior to transitioning to BoardRoom, a Fund Manager had 37% electronic onboarding. The Fund Manager’s electronic onboarding has now increased to 98% across all funds.

Mandatory MFA

BoardRoom is committed to continuing to maintain, invest and enhance the protections already in place to secure the data of investors, our clients and our business.

A recent system enhancement is the extension of the multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirement across all BoardRoom web portals, to positive feedback from our clients and the marketplace.

API – Is it time to integrate?

We are experiencing a growing demand from clients to integrate with internal CRM and data warehouses. Clients are becoming more sophisticated with their registry data, understanding the investor demographic, where the gaps are for further growth and the number of investments held across funds.

BoardRoom’s agnostic and open API acts as a bridge between our registry systems and our clients’ internal programs, sending live data as changes are made against investor records. This allows Executive and Distribution Teams to have accurate contact information and a clear understanding of the investor’s holdings portfolio across Individual, SMSF, and/or Family Trusts.
