Product Lead (Fintech)
Job Responsibilities
- Define and drive the fintech product roadmap, balancing client commitments with platform investment
- Close key payment capability gaps across the platform, including DMA/Send and Multi Bank Account
- Drive operational excellence, reducing client compensation and regulatory risk
- Identify manual workflows and lead automation initiatives across the business
- Work closely with engineering and vendor delivery teams to ship, measure, and iterate
- Own the commercial performance of the product, including business cases, prioritisation, and vendor value
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance
- Contribute to a high-performing, delivery-focused product culture
Requirements
- Proven experience in product leadership, ideally within fintech, payments, or financial services
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage engineers on architecture, APIs, and data flows
- Experience delivering complex, scalable products with a focus on reliability and security
- Commercially astute, with the ability to develop and defend business cases
- Experience managing vendors and holding delivery partners accountable for outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to link product performance to financial impact (cost, risk, ROI)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools and applying AI to product delivery and operations
- Ability to differentiate between real AI value and industry hype
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership mindset

- Experience in payments, financial services, share registry, or corporate services
- Understanding of regulatory and security requirements in financial platforms
- Experience working with distributed teams and vendor delivery models
- Able to work in Sydney office
